DeKalb County Outdoor Theater Bicentennial Ceremony

If you haven’t heard, 2016 marks a monumental 12-month period for the Hoosier State! It signifies the 200th Birthday of Indiana, and our state is not holding back in celebrating!

In fact, DeKalb County itself has numerous events occurring throughout the year to honor Indiana’s Bicentennial year! One of these “legacy projects” will be taking place on Saturday, June 18th, at the DeKalb County Outdoor Theater!

The Indiana Bicentennial Celebration & Flag Day Ceremony will follow a schedule that can be found on the Outdoor Theater’s website, The program will be a wonderful way to bring the community together for this very important year in our state’s history and our country as a whole! It is also being put on to recognize the Field of Honor flags that were presented by the Auburn Elks Lodge!

Beginning at 4:00 PM, a welcome message is scheduled which includes the entrance of the American Legion Riders and the Bar None Saddle Club Color Guard!

Numerous music performances will be taking place and a presentation regarding the Torch Relay, which is coming up on October 1st, 2016, and the United Way’s Bicentennial Bison will be shared with the attendees on Saturday!

In addition, food vendors will be at the Outdoor Theater, those participating include: Auburn Elks, Cupbearer Café, LouDogs, and DeKalb Show Choir!
