“We Love Auburn” Month Has Begun!

Yarn Bombing Schedule (2)

February: a month in which we continue to bundle up from the chilly, winter temperatures. So, why not bundle up the town of Auburn too?

The Auburn Development Advisory Committee (ADAC) has avowed February, “We Love Auburn” Month! What better way to show town adoration than to decorate and wrap trees, signs, and other outdoor objects with bright and cheerful yarn! This “act of kindness” is otherwise known as Yarn Bombing!

Not only has ADAC organized Yarn Bombing around the Auburn area, but the committee has also planned much more for the month of February! Each weekend, an exciting festivity will take place to celebrate Auburn and its wonderful Downtown area and residents!

On January 30th, the Yarn Bombing installation took place! Afterwards, the participants attended an “After Party” at Mad Anthony’s to commence “We Love Auburn” Month!

Here is a brief “run-down” of the February weekend-festivities we are looking forward to:

TIME: 12:00-2:00 PM. Numerous Downtown locations will showcase artwork by local artists!

TIME: 7:00 PM. Dessert Night at Jeremiah’s Brewed Awakenings. The perfect way to enjoy the Yarn Bombing and Downtown area during Valentine’s Day weekend.

TIME: 1:00-4:00 PM. Tour various Downtown location’s upstairs spaces!

TIME: 5:00-11:00 PM. Celebrate the success of “We Love Auburn” month! Join in on the fun at the Auburn Moose Family Center and enjoy the band “Choice”!
